Five years since the death of George Floyd
Thousands, including police reform and civil rights activists, gathered on Sunday to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the death of George Floyd. At a graveside service in Houston, Rev. Al Sharpton, joined by Floyd's family, said the 46-year-old Black man symbolized all those "who are defenseless against people who thought they could put their knee on our neck." LiveNOW's Christina Evans spoke with Dr. Nii-Quartelai Quartey, a national news anchor, educator, and community leader, as communities across the nation marked the five-year anniversary.
